Hi there! Kinda as a follow up of my blog post Darker Days, I decided to write a blog post about how I make a bad day better again. You don’t have to be depressed in order to have a bad day. Honestly, we all have them. If you say you don’t you’re probably lying. It’s normal and it’s something we have to accept. However that doesn’t mean that we can’t try to make those days better. Here are some steps that I take.
- Lay in bed and feel sorry for myself. I mean yeah you’ll feel worse for a bit but then you get to stage 2 and you’re like, you know what? I’m gonna go treat myself.
- So now you’re in stage 2 and there a two different things you can do, eat or go online shopping. (Or eat while you’re online shopping) Chocolate has some magical effect that instantly makes your day a little brighter. So if you like chocolate, that would be a good place to start.Then for as far online shopping goes, stay within your budget. Otherwise you’ll feel great for literally 5 minutes and then it’s back to crying.
- So even though things are a little better now, you probably still need a distraction. So for the biggest part of the day I’d binge watch TV shows. By the time you’re done watching, you’ll hardly remember you were feeling bad. (I’m currently watching ‘The Hundred’ by the way. Love it!)
- To complete the whole process, get out of the house, be around friends or make new friends. Just be social and get out there.
So, yeah, that’s it. Ok we all know that there’s no simple solution to having a bad day but this should at least help a little. (Obviously it depends on how bad things are.) Anyway, thanks for reading!
